The replaced buses are the old ones which were invested in 2002 – 2005 period, they are over dated to operate. Especially, Transerco will research to pilot mini bus with 16 seats to develop routes to pick up passengers in lanes, small roads to main road routes, strongly research to increase buses for students, open monthly tickets in charge of officers and employees in industrial parks, export processing zones…
Earlier, General Director of Transerco Nguyen Phi Thuong said: "Currently, at peak hours, buses have to " flex " too much, because being overloaded from 140 to 200% on some routes. According to our survey, there are 42 spots regularly overloaded. An 80 seats bus have to carry 160, even 200 people. With a large number of passengers, there isn’t any space for standing.
Therefore, to overcome this situation, Mr. Thuong said, Hanoi and Transerco was developing projects increased transport capacity of bus into some periods, the bus will be accessed to the center administrative districts of the city and all the inter-commune centers, towns and populated areas.
"We have to direct workers to be more patient to fulfill their assigned tasks, reduce personal inhibition to not affect passengers. Myself directly was with the driver in peak hours and were sympathetic with workers. They have to be stressed, tired to move on little by little. In the tight bus, driver’s assistant can not come to passengers to sell tickets. Because of these pressures that there are not good behavior of the driver to passenger at some places.”.
