“Hanoi should be calculated to implement plans and measures to avoid congestion, especially during peak hours”, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee – Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested that in Ceremony which deployed activities in Hanoi traffic safety month.

   To ensure traffic safety, Deputy Prime Minister said that, apart from propaganda and education sense of observing traffic laws, they should be severely sanctioned violations of the Traffic Law.

   Beside that, Hanoi should be developed Public Transport System, limited personal means, investing traffic infracstructure, definitely handling the black traffic spots, using land for transportation conformity and constructing high-buildings in accordance with plan, not allowing the construction of buildings in the center to reduce traffic density.

   Hanoi People’s Committee issued Plan No.98/KH-UBND to respone Traffic Safety Month (September 2011), began in August 27.

  Follow that, Hanoi People’s Committee required funtional units increasing, maitainance traffic works to ensure favorably and safely traffic, accelerating Traffic Projects, managing passenger transport activities… The units, locals initiative, simultaneously implement the plan since last August, report results for the Department of Transportation prior to October 3, 2011, to sum ​​up and send to City People's Committee and the National Traffic Safety Committee.

  This Traffic Safety Month, Hanoi will open peak patrols, strictly handle traffic violations, focusing on handling offences as control transports when drinking alcohol, speed or non-compliance traffic lights, wrong lane, not wearing helmets….
